ResumePilot ("we", "our") is a Chrome extension and website at resumepilot.co that tailors your resume to job postings using AI. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can remove it.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use them to identify your account and sync your data across devices.
- Your resume. The resume text and the file you upload are stored on our servers so you do not have to upload them again on every device.
- Job posting text. When you generate a tailored resume or check a match score, the text of the job posting you are viewing is sent to our servers to run the comparison.
- Usage counters. We count generations, credits, and match checks to enforce plan limits.
- Payment status. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we store only your Stripe customer reference and subscription status.
How your data is used
Your resume and the job posting text are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the tailored resume, match scores, and refinements. Anthropic processes this data to provide the AI service. We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share your data with anyone else.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on our servers hosted by Railway in the United States. Your original resume file is kept so you can re-download it; you can remove it at any time.
Deleting your data
- Resume: click the remove button (X) next to your resume in the extension. This deletes the resume text and file from our servers immediately.
- Account: email m.zahawy5@gmail.com from your account address and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
What we do not do
- We do not read or collect your browsing history. The extension only reads the job page you are on when you click Generate or Check match.
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not send marketing email without your consent.
